Hodges for same-sex marriage. The court has made its decision and rejected her request to overturn.

According to @apnews, the decision was announced on Monday without any comment from the justices. Davis tried to get the court to overturn a lower-court order requiring her to pay $360,000 in damages and attorney’s fees to the couple she had denied a marriage license to.

Davis’s lawyer reportedly kept citing words of Justice Clarence Thomas, who alone called for the erasing of the ruling. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito also disagreed with the ruling, but have not spoken on the subject and have not advocated for the ruling to be overturned.

As previously reported, Davis stated in her filing that marriage laws should be determined by each state, rather than the federal government. (📸: @gettyimages) ✍🏾: #TSRStaffJW”.
